Spell Capital has acquired majority interest in the Arctic Fox, Inc., a leading supplier of fuel and fluid warming products to the heavy-duty trucking and off-highway equipment markets and tube fabrication contract manufacturer. The former owner of Arctic Fox, Jack R. Veach, will continue to manage the firm, working with Spell Capital to grow the business and upgrade its equipment.
"We are delighted to have acquired a firm that has so much potential for growth with its dominant industry position, leading management team and excellent reputation," says Bill Spell, president of Spell Capital. "In order to expand Arctic Fox, we will continue working with members of the existing management team, who offer vast experience and keen insight about the fuel and fluid heating business and contract tube fabrication industry."
In addition to selling their own line of fuel and fluid heating products, Delano, Minn.-based Arctic Fox has also cultivated strategic alliances with major fluid heating and filtering companies to create complete fuel and fluid heating systems, serving the oil and gas industry, timber industry and military applications around the world.
Arctic Fox supplies products for major North American truck manufacturers, including Volvo Trucks North America., Kenworth, Peterbilt, Freightliner, and other industry leaders. In 1997, Arctic Fox entered the contract manufacturing market by offering an array of additional capabilities, primarily tube bending, fabrication and production welding for industrial products.
